Hit the water around 6:30am. Lake is HIGH and we had to get the truck up to the rockers to get it in the water. No significant wind as well. First things first, we caught a TON of fish. I had 55 on my own and my buddy had another 30 at least. This lake is very nearly unfished with the ramp starting 20' from the shorline (in the water). I wouldn't recommend trying to put a bass boat in. Started off pulling several in off the pop max. Then a few with the frog. Got some with the 110SR pretty much all morning long. Basically, everything you threw would get bit eventually. It was a fun day.

Had a good morning fishing from the pier again. most of the bass were caught on the Cover Scat. However, the largest was caught on the Senko. The color I used was my favorite, Watermelon/Green pumpkin (#912). A few things: The Gamakatsu 3/0 Hook is a perfect fit for the 3.5-inch Cover Scat & works well with the 5inch Senko. When using the #912 Senko, the dark side should be on top when rigging Texas Style

I was fishing from a pier. Struck out using a Ned Rig, Senko, & Spinnerbait. I then switched to the Cover Scat and got a limit (although not all of them were keepers). Being able to cast further with the Cover Scat might explain why it worked better that day. Fun Fact: Even an 11" will hit the Cover Scat.

Conditions were pretty interesting. Just came off some decent storms for the week, it was seriously windy out (30 mph), not a cloud in the sky, and HOT. We hit the water a bit late, but hooked up with a few different species (crappie, bass, pike) pretty quickly. Lots of bait balls full of crappie. The bass seemed to be interested in the Jerkbait and Ned rigs only, although got one on a B/B swim jig. Nothing of any decent size until the last fish I pulled up on a Ned that weighed 5lbs 3oz.

Caught a few from the fishing pier. First time using the Mooch Minnow on a Ned Rig. The "T" shaped end gives the tail a subtle wiggle on the retrieve compared to other shad shape Elas-Tech bodies.
