Fishing along rock wall in lower Hamlin..picked up three off the wall with the neko rig…this one was 17.25”…other two were in the 15” range.

Bass are hanging around weed clumps that go up to the surface…loaded with small minnows…pitching in the open water areas around the weed clumps…neko rig is on fire the past two weeks

It was humid and hot but we found some bass in about 13ft of water. We had a ton of fun catching bass on swim jigs and weighted texas rigs.

6’-7’ open water sparse weeds, custom painted white pre Rapala Mag wart stop and go retrieve. Nice chunky fish 20” 4.60 lbs was the best out of five over 15”

Late summer morning and the bite was tough offshore. Found some largemouth on tree stumps close to deep water. Caught a warmouth as well. I was pleasantly surprised at how well this bait performed let it jsink shake the rod, lift and drop, then watch your line. You can see the line jump when they took it. Definitely recommend braid to leader as it will help when watching line. Stay fishy and tight lines!

Caught an 18.5” and 18.75” in the same area….near a bank/wall with overhanging tree….I cast into the shade provided by the tree and that’s where the two big ones were….Neko rig with the ghost morning dawn crush city janitor has been doing well on several different lakes recently….

Michigan lakes are choked with vegetation in the summer and that’s where the fish are. Fishing that submerged grass can be challenging. I like to stay on top of it by fishing a lightly weighted weedless fluke. The Houdini color from Zoom imitates bluegill perfectly and the twist lock hook from owner helps me not tear up the nose on flukes with every fish. If you like to fish flukes you need to try this combo out. Tight lines!
