Could see bass hitting the surface bait balls. Second cast got bit. The fish jumped multiple times but did not get off. The stock hooks are really sticky. https://youtu.be/AvI0m1-qycc?si=MALcAqAhS3UofOm_

Was a very tough day hit with blue bird sky’s. Couldn’t get a bit deep which usually works well here. Moving baits were not working. Found marginal luck flipping a wacky rig around. There a good fish in this lake just have to get them to bite. This lake has a lot of snakes. If that’s not your thing you have been warned.

Threw a red bug brush hog into some isolated lily pads and this 4.5 lb bass killed it. If you don't fish brush hogs at this lake I highly suggest getting some and throw them around any structure in this body of water!
