Got on some largemouth in shallow brush with the chicken rig. We were seeing them up in shallow pockets, all the way up to a foot or less of water chasing shad. By midafternoon most everything that would bite was tucked on the bottom. We’d see free roaming fish on scope but they didn’t show interest in most things we threw that wasn’t on the bottom.

I would throw my Ned rig out off the drop off and let it sink to the bottom with the bell open. Then i would close the bell and very gently shake my rod tip and then lift it off the bottom. The Ned rig flat out catches fish not always big ones though.

I was paddling around in a canoe skipping under overhanging trees or trees that were partly submerged. I would let my wacky rig fall on slack line and then i would flip the bell once it hit the bottom. I would let it sit lift it then let it fall back down again and repeat the cycle.

I was casting underneath the shade of a bridge that had logs and sticks jammed against the pillars. I would cast my jig out there let it sink to the bottom and let it sin there on the rocks. The important thing is the shade and the timber providing cover. I would then hop hop my jig let it sink and sit for five to 10 seconds and then repeat.

I caught this bass underneath a dock at lake Logan. I would skip it underneath the dock and then let my Ned rig sink to the bottom and sit. I would then very lightly jiggle my rod tip and then very slowly lift my rod tip to drag the bait back to me. I would then let it sit and then repeat the process.

I used a drop shot to catch this bass. I would throw it out there leave the bail open so that the drop shot falls to the bottom then flip the bell reel in my slack and very gently shake the bait and then slowly lift to bring it closer to me and then reel in slack and repeat.

I caught this bass hopping a jig it works very well for rock. It doesn’t get hung and it also gets very big bites. I would hop it let it fall for just a second then hop it and repeat.
