Tough fishing for the big largemouth in a lake that holds so many small smallmouth. There are a handful of largemouth cruising around the drop offs of rock ledges off the banks. However, I found a some giants in the Lilly pads up shallow. Tough catch but the largemouth seem to like the chatterbait and jig. Good luck and keep this lines tight!

Tough fishing at first until I switched to drop shotting and running a tube through the edge of the grass lines towards the middle of the pond. Be patient with the drop shot and the tube and work it slow!

Lost an even bigger chunk in the weeds, only had a couple hours. At least I got this beauty. Edge of pads and right through if it's sparse enough, reel down for the hook set. I also caught one slow dragging a worm, but spinnerbait always more fun.

Fishing two sunken islands near the north shore slow jigging tubes. Take your time letting the bait fall to the bottom and give it some quick pops off the bottom! Caught 3 bass over 3lbs with this!

Tough day on the Lake. Caught a few, but few and far between. Most were caught on soft jerkbait in heavy vegetation.

I decided to get a little reckless and throw the tube around some timber. It paid off! I got snagged a few times sure, but I also caught some fish so that works for me. Granted I tried to keep it just outside the branches, I cared l casted to shade lines and it all came together.

Love throwing a tube and bouncing it off the ledges. It has a distinct fall pattern that’s different from other soft plastics. Rig it with the shroomz jig head and you will catch fish.

Connected with nine 16" to 19.5" largemouth bass either holding at the edge of isolated pad patches or in the tops of grass beds with 3' to 5' of open water above the grass. The majority of the bass attached the blue gill patterned square bill worked along the edge of the pads or over the tops of the grass beds. Two of the larger bass however fell prey to a wacky-rigged Senko worked with a lift/drop retrieve around the pad patches. Great way to spend part of a summer day!

Had a decent day working the perimeter of the pond today. Lots of strikes and brought over 20 into the kayak on Texas & wacky rigged senkos plus 5" grubs on 1/16 oz jighead; (several were in the 2.5 lb range). Lost the biggest bass of the day (3+) when it surged under the kayak & the line snapped due to user error (I caught several fish w/o retying ... retie often).

Quick sunrise bank outing this AM to 2 ponds & getting several hits all on a 3/8 oz green pumpkin chatterbait pulled through nearshore weed patches & across a brisk wind blowing into the bank. Connected with several keeper sized bass. No big gals but always fun when catchin' not just fishin'
