Got some smaller ones up shallow but the bigger ones were all in open water. Going deep with the jerkbait ended up being the ticket. Wind was coming out of the northeast.

Submerged Vegetation
Cold and windy day but still produced some little guys. Had to find the clear water with submerged grass lines. Bites came when the wind was gusting versus when it was on the calmer side.

Gentle flips along brush piles. I'd let it fall, lift with a couple pauses, and then drop again. Occasionally drag over branches.

Boulders
Caught three this day. The bottom has a lot of boulder and submerged grass(although less than normally). Two were caught there, the one in the picture was just sunning in the boat launch and nailed the jig right away.

Fished the open holed areas in the grass. Wherever I could find water over 3 feet deep I was able to throw the chatter bait of the speed worm. Managed to get six in about 4 hours

This lake is called RushVille creek lake. The first thing I noticed when I first started fishing it in the spring was the fish where healthy like chunkers. I've been bank fishing it just scoping it out it has a bunch of stick ups, lay downs, rock, and grass so I feel like this is a really good fishery. This spring I caught a 3.5 on a square bill banging it on rock piles. But this fish was caught late to mid summer in matted grass with a swim jig. This lake has been impressing me, I have a feeling there's big fish in there. Gotta get my yak or boat in there.
