There was a time when the Bandit 200 was one of the top crankbaits to throw on the elite series! It was in everyone’s tackle box and fished religiously! There are still some anglers out there who know that this sneaky lure is a fish catching machine and they still use it! It didn’t take long for me to catch this bass running the Bandit 200 over rocks and near sparse grass patches. It smoked the Bandit and that was all she wrote! It’s fun to fish and it’s durable. Tie one on and go have some fun!

Don’t fall asleep on a Colorado blade in the summer! It is so much fun to throw especially on a breezy day! I casted near some grass patches on the bottom. Water depth was less than seven feet and I cranked this through middle of the water column. I did that for several casts and no strikes. Next cast on the retrieve, I burned it, then stopped then burned again and then felt the fish just crush it. The Berkley Power Stinger is my top choice for a trailer and it is awesome. The scent, it looks good, and it’s durable.

Further up north into Lake Texoma I was using the Jackhammer as a search bait. I was running just above some areas of grass near the bottom. I was using a steady crank and then I’d kill it, and let it dip and bit then start cranking again. This bass smoked it as I came up out of a pause. It was down in the grass and as it came up he got it. This is a deadly pairing as I use the Berkley Power Stinger as a trailer. That tail action and the natural hunting action of a well used and broken in Jackhammer is irresistible. Try that pairing some time, you won’t be disappointed!

Found a big point with a couple hard spots that had fish loaded on it feeding on gizzard shad caught them all very quickly.Cranking was the way when they were fired up after catching one on the glide. Then once they slow down target individual fish with a minnow.

2 early morning fish came on a black Buzz bait. Bite slowed once the sun came up until the cloud cover rolled over and the swimbait bite started up. Had several fish in the 3-5 lb range swirl at the cullshad and managed to boat a few. Will have a couple more colors next time I go out to see if a slight change will make a few more commit.

Early morning fish was hot, fishing right at the edge of the mats. Soft plastics also worked well.

Mostly main lake and just around the edges of points leading into pockets. On the main lake banks pitch as close as you can to the bank and sit in 17ft+ water. Every laydown had a little one and the Isolated laydowns had the bigger fish. Best five went around 17lbs.

Started on main lake points at 8am - 10am until the boat traffic made it impossible. Hopping the jig up the ledge got their attention. Caught a 6lber and 5 or so 4 lbers. Jig paired with a rage bug.

Busiest time on the lake, skiers and jet skis everywhere. Fishing shoreline and inlets that was stirred up from the boat traffic. Hottest time of the day!
