Pretty neat little lake, first time going there. Water was all either very muddy/cloudy, or very very darkly stained everywhere we hit. Pulled a few small ones off the reeds on the bank, one or two nicer ones a little farther out in a flooded brush line. Brother caught a nice largemouth in what appeared to be a flooded bog. Shorter trip, spent the whole time we were fishing in two feet of water or less. Bottomed out every couple minutes. Chilly, breezy, not much sun, fairly late in the evening.

Caught a handful of dinks, smallmouth and largemouth. Then a nicer one of each as well before we left. Water was chilly, pretty murky water for the most part. Lot of rain the past few days so everything’s kinda swamped. Fairly sunny, bit of wind. Hit almost all of em in some pretty thick stuff. Got my first pike too, a fish is a fish, I was pumped. He was prowling around a bunch of crappie cribs. Same lure the entire day on two lakes.

We were in the middle of the channel and marked a school of fish. I threw this far behind the boat and let it sink then retrieved it with small stops in between.

Cool morning, very foggy till about nine, made our way to the docks and started working our way around pitching between the boats and empty slips, no luck till we got closer to the bank end where we could get under the dock a little farther and had some floating debris they were hiding under. Got four in the boat, lost two more by the end of the day.

Stopped for a few minutes on my way after work at about midnight or so. Heard a few chasing bait on top, and after two or three casts in that direction had the only bite of the night. Fairly dark night, not much moonlight, so I stayed near where the pole lights could reach.

We spent this morning working our way around the bank while it was calm, till we found a decent spot to pick apart once the lake woke up. Had a couple bites but only landed one. Started out pretty overcast, but the sun was shining within a few hours of being out, water was clear.
