Fish are in the flooded bushes, flipping Texas rigged craws and creature baits, black and blue or any darker color for the dirty water. Lots of small fish every now and then you find a good one. Hopefully the lake keeps producing and we get some fish of size in the next couple years.

Flipped around and found out that there was a 4 pounder sitting under a floating grass clump and beside a fallen tree. A custom made jig 1/2 GP with a strike king rage chunk was the ticket.

Caught a few nice bass on paddle tails. Also got into a school of small crappie. Both the bass and crappie were chasing bait fish so practically any paddle tail/minnow lure was catching them.

Went out for a night trip, for a chance at some spots I can only hit when the lake is calm in my tiny boat. Turned out to be the only one in the water. Very calm night, air was in the mid 60’s, enough moonlight to navigate by. I used the depth charts on the pro app to locate a series of humps coming up to about fifteen feet from about 30 or so. Spent a few hours pickin em apart with a ned rig, Got a handful of little rock bass, couple nice smallmouth, four or five largemouth, and the one pictured is my new PB. I gotta get a scale….
