Fished Pool 1 of Lake Anna's hot side, where the water was much warmer than the water I fished the prior day in Pools 2 and 3. Found fish along rip rap banks and on rock piles in 10 to 20 feet of water. The bass willing to hit Zoom Trick Worms in black and watermelon/red flake on Bite Me Finesse Shakey Head jigs. I caught my better fish on a 3/8oz Dirty Jigs Flippin Jig with a Netbait Paca Chunk trailer. Like the previous day, we had a lot of sunshine, but air temps were only in the upper 30s. The morning started out at 16 degrees!

Fished Lake Anna's hot side last Friday and caught 20+ bass in four hours. Most of the fish were in the 1 to 2 pound class, but I found a few over 2.5 pounds. All fish were sitting on dropoffs, where the water fell from 4 or 5 feet into 10 to 20 feet of water. I caught fish on a variety of lures, including crankbaits, soft plastics, and small swimbaits, but I had the best success with a 3/8oz jig-and--pig combination. I tried a 1/2oz jig initially, but the bass preferred the slower fall of the lighter jig.

Excellent day on the water throwing the Megabass Vision 110jr +1. Fish were slowish in the morning as expected, but as the sun began to shine and the wind picked up, the bite was on. Between points, rocky banks, small ditches and stickups the fish that I saw on Livescope would at minimum track the bait if they saw it. The wildest pattern I found was fish using sheets of ice as cover... I'd throw it as close to the ice as possible and nearly every time, a fish would dart out from under it. Never would this Florida boy ever thunk he'd be catching fish from under ice. Nothing massive to write home about, but 12 fish hit the deck and the best 5 went close to 13lbs. Full video of the day can be found on my YouTube channel @TheKurrent.

Fished a club tournament from November 14-16. Fishing was challenging with my fishing coming on Zoom Red Bug Trick Worms on main lake points with submerged stumps. It was a grind. During practice I was able to catch a few fish on a Megabass Vision 110 Jr jerkbait in the backs of coves casting toward the deeper water in the middle of the cove. My nicest fish came on a Megabass Vision 110 JR along a weed edge in about 5 feet of water - just off the main lake.

Beautiful fall day! I was throwing a 7.5" Culprit worm at docks and wood. I had 15 bites and caught 15 bass. Didn't lose a fish with the Mustad Alpha point 2/0 offset hook. Great hook! Largest bass was 5.5lb with smallest 2.5lbs. All weighed on my new Bubba scale.

Fish were holding on the ledges at about 10 feet. They were not holding on cover, they were suspended just off the bottom chasing alewife. The Krej was the bait of the day.

Picked up 5 bass over 4lbs including one over 7lbs on the kicker double colorado spinnerbait. Water visiblity was about one inch and this brought on the strikes. Fishing in the wind blown coves around any blown down brush or trees held bass. Slow rolling was the key to getting a strike with love visiblity. Kept those blades thumpin and pulled some nice ones in the boat.

Caught many bass on a Jerk Bait, primarily the Stunna 112 in Stunna Shad color but also the Strike King KVD 300. The bass were suspended around bait fish. The key was to find the bait fish and fish the Jerk bait around the bait fish to pick up the bass. Had one bass over 5lbs most were in the two to three pound range.

Picking up bass on the Stuna Jerkbait. Bass were suspended at around 7-8 below the schools of shad. If you find the shad I would pick up bass under the shad school. I would get aggressive bites when I ripped the bait through the water. They were not hitting the bait on the pause.

Had a big warm up in VA, pushed the big bass into the shallow waters. Caught over 40 Bass on the Booyah spinnerbait in 2-4feet of water around submerged stumps and brush. Biggest bass came in at 7lbs. Most bass were in the 3lb range. Slow rolling the spinnerbait seemed to be about the best technique going. The deeper bass were not committing to other typical winter baits.
