The big bass were chewing today! Caught 6 over 4 lbs and a bunch over 3. The fish were stacked up on steep drop offs from 2-5 ft to 10-12. Casting the Neko and wacky along the drop off was producing a lot and the wacky produced more as the sun got higher. Hope this helps.

I saw an elevated amount of surface activity, so the goal was to keep the plastic in the upper 2ft of the water, not so much jerking as intermittently reeling quickly. I caught 3 largemouth today in 2 hours weighing 4.2lbs, 2.6lbs, and 1.1lbs.

Everything was biting on the drop shot. It was a four species evening with a couple of pike, a few largemouth, a perch and a dozen or so larger sunfish. It made for an enjoyable evening. 18” leader to the weight, fished near weed edges on the south side of the lake (tree line).

We caught a bunch of fish but had a really hard time figuring out a pattern. We did catch a few of our nicest ones around docks on a jackhammer. The bite seemed to slow down in the “golden hour” as the wildfire haze rolled in and it started to cool off.

There are a lot of post-spawn fry guarders and resident females hanging out shallow around docks and laydowns. I broke down each dock from multiple angles and was able to catch several fish off every one.

Targeting submerged vegetation on the edge of flats that drop off into deeper water. Find areas with bait in the area and the bass will be close by.

Caught walleyes with small finesse presentations, a small underspin with small swimbait produced the most bites. Found groups of walleyes in slack water eddies and current seams in backwater river channels.

Found a school of 2-3 pounders right outside weed edges in 9-10ft of water. Using the weighted beast hook allowed me to stay deeper but shallow enough to stay above the submerged grass.

Smallmouth were located really shallow around boulders and just about any cover available. The bite was very aggressive as they were feeding heavy during the pre spawn. Weather was stable with very little wind making the wacky rigged senko bite ideal.
