We're back, Aaron Teel here with Teel's Bass Galaxy, and we're going to talk to you about the gray series from Galapagos. This is the hottest selling series of swim baits in Japan. They've got three different sizes.First off, we've got the Grace 280. This is a floating model, so it's going to run about four feet down and give you very wide glides. You're not going to find better drawing power with a bait than with this 280.Now, new for 2026, they've just come out with a sinking model. That bait that did float runs four feet down, slow float. This one's going to slow sink and have a little bit different pitch under the water, but you're still going to get that wide glide. You're going to be able to work it fast, and nothing's going to draw bigger bites than the Grace 280.And then you're probably familiar with the Grace 240. Noah Schultz kind of made this thing hot and popular here in the US. This is kind of that standard side glide. You're not going to find a better speed range on a glide, and these are fully tunable as far as how wide or how fast and choppy you can work them. This is going to be probably the most common size for a big bait, but it's not only going to get you big bites, but you're going to get a lot of bites.I switched to swim bait tournament last year, and I caught 25 to 30 bass in one day on this bait, so I know it's going to get you bites, but it's also going to get you those bigger bites. And these baits are made out of resin, so they're a little more durable than some other baits to you.And just for reference for everybody else, this is nine inches, including the tail, isn't it? I believe so.It doesn't really throw like a nine inch blade glide. It's a lot lighter to me, the few times I've tossed it.Interesting. And like it depends on the glider throwing, right? Like the bigger wider ones, those seem to catch wind a little bit more.So this is going to throw really nice and wind like that, but I agree with you. It's 2.7 ounces and pretty easy to throw on heavier bait casting tackle. And then yeah, the 210 out is out now. That's brand new for 2026. This is going to be a bait. If you guys have ever heard of like a tiny clash from DRT, this is kind of that next evolution.I don't want to say it's a tiny clash because it's far from it, but it's kind of that next evolution swim bait in a category of its own.It comes with a lip here. It also comes with a deep diving lip and this leaf style tail.So it's going to have a very nice natural swim at multiple speeds and it'll also dog walk in the water. You think about a lot of people were hovering shaking these menals and stuff, but really not a lot of people are doing that with a bait this size. And this bait was designed to work really fast or had that hover ability just like we're throwing with the soft bait.So a lot of people don't know the Grace 210 yet, but the couple guys who I do know who have been throwing it are very, very pleased with it.So they're keeping it hosh hosh very much so so this like is a very advanced one bait. So the swim bait community is going to look at this bait and totally understand it for us.So it's like, what the heck is this? But the big thing to note is you can actually put a Grace 240 tail in this bait and you can fish it like a glide, smaller glide. But it comes with this leaf tail, which is going to kind of swing independently and then has removed the lip where you could actually put that deeper lip in it and then you can reverse that deep lip and it'll roll or wake more.Does this a floating? Yes, yes, it's a slow floating. So like I was working this one in Japan with a deep lip and I'm barely touching the thing and things like eight beeners down doing its things. So that quick diving lip will really get it where it needs to go. And then if you're sight fish and fish and shallower stuff, that standard lip is going to be absolutely perfect. You want a small glide it throw that 240 tail in it and you're good to go. So that's kind of the new one and the guys who know know. And if you don't know yet, I think the big thing we've learned with swim baits is chop chop chop glide glide glide is the most common way to fish these. But I think in Japan they're very in tune to not only the chops and glides, but I think what they're very in tune to is making the bait you're throwing look injured. So a lot of times what's a bass do they're an opportunistic creature just like myself if there's a cheeseburger sitting there or something. But when that thing's gliding all fast and normal that's that's a lively fish. So what they do is kind of make that fish look hurt or that bait look injured and struggling to get where it needs to go.And they're able to generate a lot of bites from that. I remember I was fishing Lake B-Wall and he had me throw this thing like 100 casts because on certain days is the best bait you can throw. So lots of great color ways with that. We've got shad patterns. It's a misty green Gerahas, which is looks crummy, but it's actually like a very see through chrome. Some matte finishes. You find all that stuff on on the Fishing.com.
