Getting Started W/ The Omnia App

Published: Updated:

Chase gives a general introduction to the Omnia App and some of it's features with PRO.

Hey guys, this is Chase with Omniafishing. I just want to take a couple minutes and show you how I set up by account on the Omniafishing app. When you first open the app, it's going to take you right to the map screen. What I'm going to do is I'm going to click the "Account" button found on the bottom right hand side of the screen. This will bring up your dashboard. If you click on to your profile, this is the screen that will allow you to select any lakes that you want to follow, along with any fish species. As you can see on my account, I've got Lake Minnetonka and Malax Lake selected, and along with nine fish species that I like to fish for. What this does is this will set up an automatic email that will be sent to you every week with any fishing reports that have been filed for those two lakes and any fish species that you have selected. Now that you've got your profile set up, if you go back to the map screen, you can go to these lakes, find an area that you want to have interest in, and if you click and hold the click on the screen, it will create a waypoint for you. You can click that and save, and you can also find your waypoints down below here. These are all free features with the Omniafishing app, so this is a great deal. If you want to find more information on your particular lakes that you are following, you can click on the little icon on the bottom left. If I select Lake Minnetonka, this will take me to the Lake Information page. This is where you're going to find all this stuff, such as current fishing reports for bass and any other fish species that you have selected. You can also find recently reported hot baits here, baits that are working and catching fish right now. Current weather conditions, including the wind, cloud cover, barometric pressure, sun and lava, moon phases, and again these are all free features with the Omniaf. So in the recently reported hot baits, you can click on it and see what people are catching the fish on right now. And directly from this page, you're able to add these items right to your cart. Alright guys, now that you've got your account set up with Omniaf, you've got the app downloaded. Now it's time to upgrade this experience to the Pro subscription. With the Pro subscription, you're going to get all of these mapping layers along with all of these different weather layers. And it's amazing what you can see on some of this stuff. So right now one of our most popular layers is our bottom hardness. So I'm going to go ahead and select that. And you can see that populates on the map. And if I zoom in, the darker shaded colors are going to be your harder bottom. While the lighter the shade is going to be more like a silty sand or a softer bottom. Now along with the map layer, you can include a weather layer to lay on top of this as well. So my favorite one is going to be the wind direction layer. So I'm going to select that. And now I'm going to get bottom hardness with the wind direction. You can see which way the wind is blowing. And also the color indicates how fast that wind is blowing. So blues are going to be a little bit of a lighter wind. And the more yellow to green, the red is going to be a stronger wind. And you can also click on the screen, which will give you an actual digital readout of the mile per hour. So along with these mapping features with Omniaf Pro subscription, you get 10% back on all of your orders. You get free shipping no matter the order size. You get a four hour head start on all of our in-stock items at a restock, kind of a no brainer. [Music]
