So this is probably one of the most innovative hard baits, jerk bait styleof baits. We've really seen hit the market in the U.S. since I can't evenremember. I've never seen a bait like this, but I guess this is the MadatachiHannitas Mino, nude omnia fishing. It comes in a slow float and a high float, butthe most important thing to note about this bait is it's not just one bait. You're getting five baits and one, so this is a bait that's got three differentdiving depth settings. With these wings on the side, you're able to adjust thediving depth real-time. So we've got our deepest setting there. Push it forwardjust to touch, middle setting, shallow setting, and then you can also make thebait go left or right. So if you have one side on the deep setting, one side onthe middle setting, it'll actually go left, left, left, or right, right, right dependingwhich side you have orientated on the deeper the middle setting. So what you'regetting there is you're getting a shallow diving jerk bait, a medium divingjerk bait, and a deeper diving jerk bait, all in one bait, as well as a baitthat you can manipulate, which direction it goes, which I think about if I'mfishing a bluff wall. Usually I have to parallel, and basically my rubberhell scraping down the bluff wall, you know, to get that jerk bait down. Now youcan actually sit out from that bluff wall, 45 to the bluff wall, and have thebait parallel. So I have heard of people tuning crank baits to do that, but that'sreally cool that you can actually do that with jerk bait now. You can, and likeyou don't have to grab a pliers, no tool required, nothing. So simply slide thatforward a little bit and notch it down. Yep, super easy adjustment, real time, thosefish there. Let's say in the morning, they're 10 feet down, you're able to get tothem. Let's say, you know, as the sun gets up, blue gills start rising, they startto sit four feet down. You don't need to tie on a new bait, you just adjust thatbait. You're good to go. It's diving less deep. The other thing I think most peopledon't think about the jerk bait is posture, right? So not only that, not onlycan you tune the depth, but you can tune the posture. So this is a slow float thatI kind of waited to suspend last spring, but if you think about it, you couldalmost wait this to sink and have those wings orientated one of three ways, youknow, to change the bait's posture in the water. And to me, that's something thatsuper, like you hear guys like Father Giel and Dumpke talking about that stuffwho are super in depth with it. And I think having a jerk bait that has all ofthose capabilities and catches them is something that's worth noting. Myexperience with this jerk bait was, I'm a megabass vision 110 guy and I went outone day last fall. I said, man, I need to throw that thing a little bit more becausemy body's been wrecking them on it or whatever. So I picked it up, small mouth hole. Igo four for four big ones. I'm like, dang, okay, they're finally my jerk bait, right? There's no way they're eating it better than my 110 old faithful though, right? So I have another, so this bait's heavier. It's three quarters of an ounce. SoI actually throw it on one size heavier rod than I would my normal cold watermegabass 110 rod. I picked that thing up, catch one and 10 casts. I'm like, surely this is just a flurry. Pick that thing back up and I go five or five. Andthat was kind of a very light bulb moment for me that holy smokes. This thingsweet. I think the other thing that discouraged me a little bit was the twohooks. Typically, you like to have three, but I've never had a set of hooks. Hookmy gloves more. They're so dang sticky. I don't think I've lost a bass on them, sodon't be discouraged by the hooks on this bait. I think it's one of the coolestjerk baits I've seen come on the market probably my whole life.Innovative for sure. I've never seen anything like it. The other thing I noticedwith it is I would say it's a little more glidey than other jerks, right? So Ithink it's got more of a glidey style jerk versus a vibrating style jerk, which tome is interesting as well. I think my favorite part about it is you canabsolutely vomit in the wind. So like if you're struggling to get to a place andthen you're able to adjust it real time. The high float, I will say, if you'readding weight to it, you got to add quite a bit to make it suspend. So making itsuspend is something that's important to you. I recommend picking up one of theslow float colors. They've got colors from smallmouth, shot colors, all the wayto full realistic minofinishes to your golds and silvers and there's going to bea bunch more cool colors coming out between now and spring. So definitelysomething you want your arsenal, whether you're fishing, pressured fish on thelaks that have seen a thousand of everybody else's jerk baits or just wantingto be more efficient. This bait can kind of provide all those things.Efficiency, I love it. It's the most efficient jerk I've ever seen, butyeah one size heavier on the rod seems to make a big difference and do not bediscouraged by these hooks because you just might hurt yourself. They are sticky. They are sticky. Well they're silver and I think that's the other thing that's alittle bit. We're not used to silver hooks like that on a jerk bait and it isbecause this bait can work in saltwater too, but it didn't seem the fish didn'tbother them. They didn't seem to care to the point where I'm definitely going torun the hooks on these now for sure. So yeah that's the, that's the MatatachiAnita Smino, most innovative jerk bait that we've ever seen available atAmiaFishing.com.
