We are talking about crappies today. It's the end of February, but it feels like me and crappies are on the brain. Our customers have told us that, and us here at the shop here in Golden Valley, Minnesota are thinking the same thing. We've got some new rods in from our friends at Lew's. And keep an eye out, we've got a bunch of new baits too that showed up from Strike King as well for crappies, but we have two new rods, and these are Wally Marshall Signature Series rods. This one in particular is a Signature Series like jiggin rods that feature the cork candles. This is more your price point version, typical crappie actions. They are really light. They got a nice fore grip on them, cork candles, perfect for just your all around jigging techniques when it comes to crappie fishing. Got a bunch of different models in this. And really impressed with these. These are good price point value rod there in that Wally Marshall Signature Series. Next up, we have the Wally Marshall Pro Target Series. So now we step up our component tree a little bit and modernize the rod up a bunch. I even put on one of my personal Custom Lite spinning reels here. As you can see with the Winn grip stuff, it's growing on me too. This is an added knob I put on here. We do sell just the Winn grip knobs. I'm a round knob person from all the different reel manufacturers. A minute I get one, I switch it out to either EVA or cork round knobs or as you see here, Winn grip. And it matches up with this Winn grip material on the reel seat here. This is a lose signature kind of thing. We have this pinch style real seat on it, which I really like because it gives me the ability to hold my hand forward like I typically do when I fish. But all of our customers who are split finger anglers, especially live bait anglers and a lot of panfish anglers, do tend to hold their hands further back on the rod than I would. I'm usually using my hand forward like that. You hear us talk about that a lot here. This is a great real seat solution for everybody. And I do like the fact that it's got that tacky Winn grip material on it. The rods have that hip, that some big chartreuse accent pieces on it there. For like I said, a more modern sleek look than an old traditional series of rods. So whether you're a new modern young angler out there or you're a classic angler that likes the cork style, Lew's this guy you cover with some crappie stuff. And like I said, keep an eye out for some matching baits to go along with these rods. I got crappie on the brain. I'm sure so do you. Let's go catch them. [MUSIC PLAYING]
