Here we are with a Megabass P5 Oneten Special. That's right, this one here, the Oneten Special is Megabass's jerkbait rod. And I think we all agree that Megabass is probably best known for jerkbaits. The Vision 110 is the standard for a long, long, long time. And in my opinion, still is the standard when it comes to jerkbaits. And this is the rod they designed to fish it. This is a medium power, fast action rod at a length of 6 feet 11 inches. So it's a pretty long rod for a jerkbait rod. And that fast action is a little bit weird, too, when you look at a lot of other manufacturers, kind of slow the taper down of a jerk bait rod to up your landing percentage with treble hooks, as they'd say. So it's pretty interesting to see that the jerkbait specialist went with a fast action rod and medium power for their jerk bait rod. Obviously, the 110 shines when you're cracking on it. And it's given a tons of that darting action. Being able to clean up that line with slack line out there on a suspending jerkbait, it is nice to have a little bit of length there. But you don't want it super long so that you're hitting the water as you're fishing the rod. Nice thing about this rod is it does have a short little handle on it. So it is nice to palm. And this thing being so light in the P5 series here, the Destroyer in the 110 special, it's so light. It's very little fatigued when you're working a 110 the way you're supposed to. We're going to give this thing a bend.

Let's go check out the Megabass Oneten special in the P5 Destroyer. So this is their jerkbait rod. And it's 6'11" medium power, fast action. So here's the taut hooks set there. I loaded up. It actually adds a lot slower taper than I thought it was going to for saying it's a fast action. It is quick to get to that bend. So I'll give them that it is a faster action. I would say it's definitely faster than moderate. But it does have a very gradual taper to it. It's not as extreme as you'd see in most fast actions. So that will aid you in landing treble hook baits, especially light wire treble hook baits. Let's do a little bit of a slack line hooks set here. Give it a little bit more line out there. Yeah, so this rod, to me surprisingly, seeing that it's a fast action does load up a little bit more gradual than I thought it was going to. So great feature. Actually, to me, it gives me more confidence that it is a perfect rod for a jerkbait. But it's got enough power in it in the tip here that you could really get some serious action out of that jerkbait without having to really over smack the rod like you do with a lot of the really soft powered jerkbait rods. Cool rod. I'm excited to actually try this one. This is the Megabass P5 Destroyer Oneten special. [MUSIC PLAYING]
