Jackall Poison Adrena. This is the 7' medium spinning rod here. I'm very familiar with the casting models of the Poison Adrena rods, I own a couple myself. I've fished with most of the models in the lineup. I have not fished with the spinning rods. So I'm very interested to get this over here and bend it. Slap the reel on it and we're going to bend it over here on the wall to see how the action is on these. One of the features of these rods that stands out the most when you see them anywhere to store or online like this is going to be the Monocoque handle on the rear. This is a carbon fiber rear handle and the reel seat gets overlooked. This is CI4 material. So that's a carbon fiber that's a proprietary carbon fiber from Shimano and then it's a carbon fiber blank as well. So it's all continuously through this whole rod top to bottom, this rod is transferring vibration. So you are going to feel a little bit more. They are extremely well balanced rods. They feel great in your hand. They look really good. They're high-end rods and they look like high-end rods. I'm very impressed with this family rods. But like I said, I'm not familiar with the spinning rod so I'm excited to bend them. I am a hand-forward angler when it comes to spinning rods which means I put my whole hand in front of the reel stem there. I like to use my forearm and my arm to set the hook rather than my wrist. If you're the further back you hold your rod on your reel seat, you're going to split your fingers. This has the hump here and it has the the feeling of being more of a maybe just pinky behind the reel seat or split your finger's style reel seat. However, I can get my whole hand up above this and I don't hang on to any nasty threads or anything like that. For being a metal chuck, this is quite smooth and comfortable to hang on to. So if you are hand-forward angler like myself, you certainly can still fish this rod very comfortably and to be honest with you the more I've been playing with them today, the more I'm starting to like them a little bit. So let's bend this seven-foot medium Jackall Poison Adrena spinning rod.

We're lined up on our marks here with the Jackall Poison Adrena seven-foot medium spinning rod. I'm going to slow load it up and this thing's got a lot more backbone and power than I thought it was going to have for being a medium power. I'm going to put my right hand on it here and see how it does with my wrist there like that. Oh, wow. Very surprising amount of power in this rod. I was not expecting that at all. Picking the rod up, it feels quite light just physical weight. I thought the rod would be a little bit more moderate because of a lot of the other Poison Adrena blanks in the casting family and I thought the rod would be a lot softer power-wise being only rated as a medium. This thing is pretty powerful. Let me get a snappier hook set here on this. Let me get on the marks here and reel that up a little bit. Actually got quite a bit of power for being a medium power spinning rod. If you were fishing, if you're a new forward-facing sonar angler and you're fishing deeper water, your forward-facing sonar farther away, you will get a hook in those fish real quick with this rod. And it does feel like a lighter powered rod in hand. Very impressive this one. Big surprise so far the day, honestly my biggest surprise. If you want a versatile spinning rod on the higher end that you could do a bunch of stuff with, it's really not much more versatile than a 7' medium fast action spinning rod. And this thing's all that and more. So check out the Jackall Poison Adrena in the 7' medium spinning. (upbeat music)
