Largemouth Bass
TechniqueSoft Body Swimbaits (Small/Medium)SeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureOpen Water/BasinActivity picking up at Amawalk and the surrounding Reservoirs with the water temps now reaching 60 degrees. Getting the most bites on small swimbaits (2.8, 3.3 Keitechs, 3 inch Z-Man Slim Swims). To avoid snagging rocks, rig these on weedless jig-heads like the Owner Flashy Swimmer or the Z-man Finesse Bulletz.

Largemouth Bass
TechniqueSoft Body Swimbaits (Small/Medium)SeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureOpen Water/BasinLargemouth bass are beginning to move shallow. Caught a 3.5 pounder last night (4/25/22) from shore on a 1/0 Owner Flashy Swimmer with a 3.3 Keitech. Soft finesse swim baits work well this time of year: Here's a great weedless option: 3 inch ZMan Slim Swimz on a ZMan Finesse Bulletz (1/10) on a spinning rod. The smaller sized Keitechs work great, too (2.8, 3.3).
