Fished the Aquia Creek on Saturday in the driving rain and had success with fast reeling a 3/8 chatter bait and soft body white frog similar to the Zoom Horney Toad. Fish were all in the 1.5 LB range.

Aquia creek has a bounty of bass, but they also have some very nice Northern Snakehead which are both fantastic to catch and even better table fare. This day the wind was very light and partly cloudy. The bass we cought were in various stages of spawn and the snakeheads were hunting. They seemed to loke the red/orange of the sloberknocker with a stick bait trailer better than any other bait, although I did get a buzzjet destroyed by a couple. Most effective retrieve was to throw it, let it drop and zip it up, then let it drop.
