Early morning frog bite casting up into reeds then bringing onto the mats. After the sun came out, found bass in mats with at least 4 feet of water under them.

Bass were feeding on shad before sunrise. Pitched a jackhammer in open weed pockets and bass would hit them before I could even start reeling. After sunrise they would hit topwater plastics skimmed across the surface along shorelines with tall grass. Also got some to hit a 3/8 green pumpkin swim jig with paddle tail trailer.
