Got out on Birch on Oct. 29th. Sunny day, light breeze. Water temps were 48-50. Water clarity was less than normal with all the vegetation that has died off. Pleasantly surprised that the chatterbait was the hot bait. Letting it fall to bottom and then real subtle hops was the trick. Like rod tip from 9 to 10 o'clock. Very quiet in shallow water (10ft > ) as I was expecting, just a couple smaller bass on swim baits. Side imaging was helpful in finding fish today in deeper water.

Slow bite. Threw just into the weed bed and did a slow retrieval with some light jigging.

      Lily Pads

Bass were all over the frog. Pretty much anywhere shallow that there are lily pads. White worked pretty well but the natural gill color did best. The Jackall Kaera frog got the most bites. Walking it slow through any little open pocket of water in the pads was more productive than moving fast or twitching it. Fish were small, all 1-2 pounders but it sure was fun putting 30 of them in the kayak in a couple hours.
