TechniqueMedium Diving Crankbaits (7'-12')SeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructurePointsPoints with small gravel with a few large isolated rocks was key. Crank Bait had to stay in contact with bottom. Once I got crank bait on bottom I slowed the bait down. Main Lake points or points in the mouth of pockets held better fish. Best 3 fish was a 4.12, 3.76, 3.53 Each fish came off a single large rock Crank Bait red in color with a orange belly worked best

TechniqueSoft Body Swimbaits (Small/Medium)SeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructurePointsI finished fishing the Hobie Bass Open Series Tournament on Broken Bow this past weekend. The lake temps were upper 40s to mid 50s by the end of the day with stained to muddy water in most areas. Fish were staged on small points and bluff walls, as well as suspended on timber. I was able to catch fish on points using small swimbaits and chatterbaits, as well as bluff walls and rockpiles using a ned rig. Look for bass to be moving up shallow as water temps start warming up this month.
