Walleye
TechniqueSoft JerkbaitsSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructurePointsFished for walleyes out here one afternoon. Caught most in 8-12 FOW. Just in sandy points. Was using the scented jerk Shad as I didn't have any of my walleye gear with. So I pulled out my smallmouth stuff. I just let it sink to bottom and then snapped it back to the boat. Worked Well!

Yellow Perch
TechniqueIce Fishing JigsSeasonIceStructurePointsPerch were found in late March on points leading into shallow reed areas. Using small tungsten jigs and spoons were the best way to get these fish to eat. Having another rod down with a minnow got a few larger bites!

Largemouth Bass
TechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureReedsLots of fish scattered throughout almost all of the shallow cover around the lake. The most consistent bites came off of tight clumps of Reeds, grass and matted up vegetation. When the sun comes out, they like to bury themselves deep into cover, but will move out more when it is overcast. Another great way to work through these areas fast and pick fish up is with a swim jig or a frog.

TechniqueLive Bait RigsSeasonSummerStructureBouldersFinding a transition point from rock to sand bottom around 16 feet of water has been producing some fish even though the bite has slowed down some. A pink or chartreuse jig and a leech is a good bait this time of year.
