I headed to the Northside River mouth and through a jig (or your favorite texas rig) at the laydowns. Mixed bag of large and smallmouth. I had a neko rig for in between. Also used the neko on the main lake where I found mud to sand transitions with pads/reeds. Docks are also usually good

the water was up and moving quicker then usual so we went with a 3/16 jig head. Pretty simple set up, throwing to the cut side of the river banks, targeting the indentions or pockets. I had my 9 year old with and he had blast
