TechniqueTubesSeasonSummerStructureRiver Channelsthe water was up and moving quicker then usual so we went with a 3/16 jig head. Pretty simple set up, throwing to the cut side of the river banks, targeting the indentions or pockets. I had my 9 year old with and he had blast

TechniqueFrogs/ToadsSeasonSummerStructureLily PadsThe temps varied by a few degrees depending where you're at. I was throwing the popping when the pads/mats were a little less dense. They were even making it a little easier when they would show themselves. Throw over to them and they'd bite ever time. But anywhere you see pads or mats is worth a few minutes.

TechniqueStructure JigsSeasonSummerStructureLaydownsYou can head south to the river with you favorite 1/2 to 3/4 jig and pitch to the cutout edges of the river and get both large and smallmouth bass. this works on the northside also where you will find lots of fallen trees and a Texas rig may be your bait of choice. I've also thrown frogs around them. the docks do hold fish also.

TechniqueStructure JigsSeasonSummerStructureLaydownsI headed to the Northside River mouth and through a jig (or your favorite texas rig) at the laydowns. Mixed bag of large and smallmouth. I had a neko rig for in between. Also used the neko on the main lake where I found mud to sand transitions with pads/reeds. Docks are also usually good

TechniqueSwim JigsSeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationFound fish cruising the shallows chasing bait fish. They were on the outside edge of the weeds in isolated areas. Make long cast was the key and when you felt a bump we had to set the hook. We caught a lot of fish on the far south end west Bay Area. Don’t be afraid to cover some ground because they were scattered around. I was using a 1/4 ounce black and blue swim jig with a Strike King Baby Menace Just slowly reeling it in worked the best.
