Right when I got to the ramp I noticed there were lots of bluegill up shallow. Immediately thought there was a bluegill spawn and there definitely was. Could almost guarantee every time I pitched up near shore I was going to lose one of the claws off my Rage Craw. The bass were sitting on the outer grass line waiting to ambush the bluegill.

I was throwing the buzzbait early morning before the sun came up on riprap banks with good success. I was fishing it just fast enough so it would stay on top, but no faster. I also made sure it was a loud and squeaky buzzbait to get the fish’s attention in the dirty water after the rains we’ve had.
