This lake can produce some action packed topwater fun. I found a faster retrieve produced more bites here. Follow up missed strikes with a Jig or Texas Rig.

Fished out of North access. Northeast part of lake. Bass scattered in submerged weeds all across the bay. Best success was in 6 to 7 feet water with weeds submerged about 2 feet from surface. Caught mostly 13 to 15 inch LMB also caught a few smallie. A few pike (small) and plenty of good sized rock bass. All fish releasef.

A buddy and I had quite the day, catching a couple dozen bass each. There's a lot of LM and rock bass, and some decent size smallies. It was cloudy and cool. Fishing the edges of the reeds and in the weeds 6-8' deep was the ticket. The bass here like green sticks, and we both had success with the Xzone 6" sticks. Watermelon candy? Candy indeed!
