Missile baits Ike's mini flip jig and z-man trd bugz is a perfect match for mimicking small gills/crayfish on these midwest lakes. I secure the trd bugz to the jig with a small bead of loctite super gel for skipping and flipping. I have been focusing on docks, weedlines and wood with this setup - the beauty of his jig/plastic combo is that you can toss it anywhere and get bit. Water temps have been in the low 50s in northwest Indiana and jig season is in full swing!
