TechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonSpring (Spawn)StructurePointsSeemed like the storm front that ripped through the area this last Friday may have pushed the bass off shore and into some deeper water. So different than just a week ago when there were so many fish in the shallows. I was only out for a couple hours in the evening and was able to coax a few hits on the Strike King Game Hawg in the trusty Blue Craw pattern. We found them in 15-18 feet of water off of points and submerged rock piles. Even in heavily pressured Folsom Lake, they have a hard time staying of that bait.

TechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureBouldersMonday after work at Folsom....it's becoming a thing. Had a blast pitching that Strike King Blue Craw Game Hawg into boulders near the shoreline. 2 hours on the water and 9 beauties just like the one in the pic. That Blue Craw pattern in any of the Strike King baits is just awesome.

TechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonSummerStructureLedgesTook my boat out after work to make sure a gas line repair fixed an issue... and since it did, and I was out there... might as well get my line wet. Super hot 101 degrees, water temp a crazy 93 degrees... and yet the Rage Bug slow bounced at about 20 feet does the trick!

TechniqueDrop ShotSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureOpen Water/BasinFan cast on shore with the bubble gum color and fish loves em. For some reason you catch better and bigger fish with this color than a green pumpkin. The zoom trick worm just have a ton of action underwater. Not only catch bass but caught a huge carp once.

TechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureBouldersSnuck away for an after work quick run up the North Fork. It's always the Strike King Blue Craw pattern that works out here at Folsom. I ran out of the Ocho worms....so just switched over the Cut-R Worm in the same pattern and there you have it. Spawners haven't quite pulled up on shore yet, so we were catching them in 10-15 feet off shore in and around boulders.
