Cold front pushed through and made the fishing a bit tough for us. Slowed down with the Ned rig and was able to catch a few in the short time we had to fish this morning.

shad spawn was in full swing and thanks to recent storms raising water levels just enough to provide the hybrids more preferable ambush locations at significant depth transition points in the creek mouths and further up the channelsto ambush spawning shad. Wind direction also aided in forcing shad to form larger schools instead of the typical 10-20 fish schools common for this time of year

There isnt an option to select Hybrid Bass so i just chose stripper. I apologize for that. Well on honey creek the wind was blowing from the South at just the right speed to push shad to the north bank and the Big bass took advantage of it. Casting to the opposite bank where the water depth is about 2ft and working it out over a gradual transition to sheer drop to 8ft plus was getting the best results. Largemouth were also in the mix and the action stayed consistent all day. Just follow the feeding frenzy. I walked that big spook hard trying to create as much commotion on the surface as possible and with hybrids dont be afraid to work it fast they seem to prefer it
