Fished the BFL super tournament and managed to make the cut and fish both days. Finished in 23rd. Every fish I caught I was on the tube in junebug or green pumpkin purple flake. The fish were shallow day one and caught in the cracks of coves anywhere from 2-4 feet. On day 2, the fish were all caught on the main lake points leading into the same pockets I caught them in the back the day prior. The key was to have that main river channel right outside the cove or finger and I would get bit.

Crappie have moved off brush, are schooling up in winter size schools. Big fish 12 to 15 inch are roaming points adjacent to deeper channels, mid day will be suspended in 10 to 20 foot water. Shad are spawning so crappie are chasing Shad shallow in low light conditions. Points south of Goat Island and Drowning creek are where you need to be now.
