Smallmouth seemed to be hanging around submerged wood and fish cribs around 15'. You could toss a mid strolling bait over the structure and coax fish to come out and eat. We also found schools of smallmouth hanging around tapered break lines off main lake points in the north end of the lake. Dragging (aka swimming) a 3" Hazedong shad on a dropshot triggers bites in these schools. Smallies were roaming around these tapered breaks chasing minnows/bait. We hit the shallow rock and gravel but couldn't find fish. We fished hair, tubes and jerkbaits and got no action. Dropshot was our biggest producer.

Trout fishing continues to be on and off. One day they'll want everything you throw at them and the next day they'll want nothing at all, it all depends on fishing pressure. The best luck I've had is fishing mid column with a dead stick tungsten with a wax worm on it, you'll have to be quick to set the hook. They'll come look at it and the hungry ones will eat it. On more active days, reaction bites from a spoon or a ripping rap did really well.
