Pre spawn smallmouth were hanging around the flats in pretty shallow water. Like 5 feet and less. They were triggered by tossing light weight paddle tail swimbaits with a steady retrieve. Sun gil was the hot color in the keitech 3.8 fat impact.

Smallies were all over the beds and was just pitching my jig around them and also would sprinkle in a ned rig. anywhere with big rocks and sand had the smallies all over them.
