Light winds allowed us to fish anywhere on the main lake. Started fishing around 8 AM. Got some bass early on a Evergreen Shower Blows in the 105 size. Small fish, but fun. It slowed down, but I did get one quality largemouth on a Z-Man Baby Goat on an Outkast Perfect Ned Head. It really slowed down, but picked up in the afternoon with the best quality of the day on a craw tube (red Shad). I also got one final bass of the day skipping a Strike King Skipping Jig with Menace Grub under a dock. It was a successful day out pre-fishing the weed line on the main lake. Will weather cooperate on the 17th is the question. A big thanks to Charles Steinbauer who called me up to go out even though partners hadn’t been drawn yet. It turned out that I drew Chuck. This will be the 7th Baxter Bass Snatcher Tournament that I have drawn this legend of Mn bass fishing as a partner. What a privilege.

Fish were in the holes in the grass and it depended on the weather if they were shallow in the grass or deep. was using live scope to pinpoint the fish in the holes then would cast to them and let it sit. bite shut off whenever a wind change happened and a weather change
