We caught some fish frogging and punching at guntersville this morning including a 4 and a 3.5 punching heavy grass mats.

Launched out of the back ramp in Honeycomb, and got out to the main river ledges and started scanning. I didn't find any big schools but I found some with 8-10 fish. I caught fish deep cranking a DT20, dragging a football jig, hair jig (True Bass Shuttlecock), dropshotting a morning dawn worm, and a hover rigged Scottsboro Tackle 4 inch Sniper Shad. I had some bigs get off on every technique, finally had a good ledge day where alot of techniques work. Would have had 20+ lbs but didn't execute and havent convinced myself to watch the gopro footage yet. I still had 14 lbs and caught a lot of Largemouth, Spots and even a sauger (on a football jig). Kids going back to school and the heat has slowed down the traffic on the lake, but still be careful. Keep you head on a swivel with the pleasure boaters traffic.

Caught several fish punching mats today and a few on the frog! The hydrilla is where most of my fish came in with a few in the eelgrass. First time in the lake and it didn’t disappoint!

Fished on the backside of Goose Pond area after a large number of storms and heavy rain. Bite was pretty tough but was able to find bass on isolated pad clumps, close to any sort of current, using a weightless texas rigged worm.
