TechniqueBladed JigsSeasonFallStructureDocksCaught 15 fish in about 6 hours on guntersville today. Not a whole lot of size but managed to get one really good one and a few other solids. Caught fishing doing a bit of everything from punching to throwing a chatterbait and a wacky worm on docks and a little bit of scoping. Not a great day but not terrible for the fall transition. Guntersville is such a fun place to bass fish!

TechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonSummerStructureMatted GrassGuntersville in the summer means grass, and this trip it was all about the mats. We broke out the heavy rods and started punching thick hydrilla with the Berkley Stankbug. It didn’t take long before the grass started shaking — big bass were buried under there waiting. The hits were brutal, that split-second thump before they tried to bury you back in the weeds. We wrestled out some true Guntersville giants, the kind of fish that make you glad you brought the braid and a stout hook. There’s nothing like that moment when the mat erupts and a big bass comes flying out of it — Guntersville showed out, and the Stankbug got the job done.
