Was getting ready for a kayak bass tournament and had just put in on a small pocket. Decided to fish around before heading out to my main spot and noticed some crappie filets that had been thrown back in the water. Was casting up shallow around nearby stumps when something swirled at my Jackhammer. Set the hook and quickly realized it wasn't a bass. Took 5 minutes before I even got a glance at it and took a full 20 minutes to land it (even had the help of a local fisherman to pull it onto shore since I was in my yak). Wasn't the bass I was looking for, but my 15lb Seaguar invizx, Shimano zodias rod, chronarch mgl, and jackhammer all held up through the whole ordeal even with some heavy leaning on the cat to get it to the surface. Didn't help me pattern the bass, but made for a memorable trip! Can't wait to get back next year.

For the All American Kayak tourney - found fish in cleaner water in the middle of the cove. Three of the fish were found flipping a Maxscent Chigger craw around isolated and unique cover. Trokar Pro-V flipping hook is the deal and made sure I didn't lose any fish. Caught another fish on a Jackhammer around an isolated tree with green growth underneath. Finally, caught the biggun in a small cove next to a mudline near flooded green bushes.
