Smallmouth were on fire today. Colder weather and open water has this place unpressured. Shout out to Damiki for making an incredible blade bait. Find the bait find the fish!

Had the place to myself today. Colder weather has really scared the folks off, but that’s their problem not mine. How did GrundyBassman do, you ask? Well the bassman hit ‘em hard today. Ole Johnny Smalljaw was on the prowl and I crossed his eyes and dotted his tees with the g finesse special. The bait? Berkley MaxScent Flatworm Gobiyashi. The line? 6 lb Seaguar 100% flouro The hook? 12 smallmouth from 12-18 inches on CJ Smasher dropshotting a foot off bottom

Productive day dropshotting Flat worms at Heidecke. Caught 12 smallmouth over 15 inches in around 3 hours. All fish were in 12-15 feet of water.

Hey! GrundyBassman here. With the weather warming up I went out and pounded them today. The new Chatterbait EVO got it done when nothing else would. Smallmouth were hammering the EVOs listed in this report. Best bait I’ve used in a long time. Had the place to myself again, no one was at the boat launch or in the parking lot. Bass were eager to please me. I focused on sun drenched areas where the water was warmer and a stop and go retrieve. Until next time, I will see you in the woods and on the water. GrundyBassman
