Mid-lake had more color than on recent trips, thanks to the recent rains. The spotted bass and crappie were hanging out deeper, around 20-30 feet under the docks. I caught 8 black bass and 5 crappie, and both species seemed to love the baits with little to no action—dead sticking was the key! What a fun day out on the water!

The White Bass/ Hybrid run is starting on Herrington Lake. Spent the afternoon trolling anywhere from 5-20ft following river channels with a Rapala Shad Rap, various colors depending on water color. Lots of fun and easy fishing
