They had to sort through many scrappy smaller fish to find the quality size gills. The shady areas of docks and main lake bluff walls were the primary locations. Vertical jigging or casting a float and jig to the dropoffs or shaded areas proved to be the most consistent presentation. Great way to get young kids hooked on fishing!

It did seem the big ones such as the big spot my partner caught were in the 40+ ft range. The night swiftly died off at about 9am
