Rocky Points, deep water near by. Goat Island area East toward Ivy Hill area. Wind Blown side. Baitfish in small pockets.

Once the sun got up I started flipping the flooded brush. The fish seemed to be set up on bigger standing trees that ware flooded.

I caught bass in offshore brushpiles. I was targeting bass with a dropshot in brushpiles.

Buggs Island has hosted many tournaments over the years and there is a reason why. Bass are plentiful and you can get some good size ones as well. The most productive summer pattern for me is throwing a spinnerbait on chunk rock piles near points. Also found some on top water at first light near rip rap. Woody cover provides a great place to throw some soft plastics including a shakeyhead. Good luck at Kerr this summer.

Went out looking for some summertime fish with my forward facing sonar. Nice cool morning for summertime. Focused on points and humps and shoals where there was a 17-20 foot drop off with some rocks or brush piles. Main Lake!
