Never peg this. Drop this on a bass and 9 time out of 10 they eat it on the fall. If they don’t give it a wiggle and then they will. Less than 8 feet I use 1/8oz and in 8-12 feet I use a 1/4oz. I typically don’t fish it any deeper than 12 feet. It’s a great bait for targeting shallower fish in the late summer. I always have one tied on no matter what lake I’m fishing.

Channel swing/steep gravel banks always seem to hold a few bass that will hit a ned rig--the blue craw Finesse TRD is a staple for me because I think the greenish back and light blue belly look a lot like a shad. On this weekend, with the warm water temperatures, any bank like this that had wind hitting it also had lots of bait being pushed in by the wind, and I caught a 6+ lb. largemouth in addition to several smaller largemouth and smallmouth.
