TechniqueShallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6')SeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureStumpsWhen the bass move up shallow early in the spring one of my favorite ways to catch them is on a crank bait. Depends on the weather and time of day I have success on different colors. I throw the spring craw in the morning and evening in lower light levels like the morning or evening. I find a red crank bait performs best when the sun is out and the bass are up on the bank basking. If the wind gets blowing and the sky is overcast I throw the chartreuse.
