This is a great lake for the kayak... Got on a good spinnerbait bite in late Sept. overcast & breezy. Fish were cruising shallow 1-6' deep. Caught about 20 bass between 17-20". Most went for a 3/8oz shad color double willow blade with a 3.8 keitech swimbait trailer. Smaller fish were hitting underspins. Bigger fish went for an upsized 1/2 oz spinnerbait as well as 6" swimbaits.

Went out Sunday evening of opener weekend. Submerged vegetation and lily pads haven't grown much yet. Water temp was 63-64 degrees. Looked in 3 spots where prespawn fish would likely be and it was quiet. Then went to see if Bass were up on beds and sure enough, pulled in a big female that had recently spawned on the first cast in that area. She chased down a white buzzbait with a Spunk Shad trailer. I then left that area alone and enjoyed the sunset as I paddled back to the access.

      Bluegill

Bass are post-spawn. Partly sunny day with some wind, water temps are 65-66. Glide baits tend to work well on Lake Ann. Right now a lot of bass will cruise or set up on the inside weed line in 2-3ft of water and they go after the bluegills, especially along the east shoreline. Bluegills will have beds all over the place right up against shore. Trying to sight fish the bass is tough, they don't like when you get close. A drop shot along the weedline in 9-11ft was getting bit as well.
