When I located smallmouth on beds they couldn’t resist a drop shot with a chartreuse bait. We found most beds along pieces of rock and wood on sand flats.

Suspended fish working 5-15 FOW around the bridges and piping’s. Definitely had little bite windows when I’d get bit cast after cast. But they are definitely chasing and fat, healthy fishing moving into the shallow bays. After about 20-30 minutes of not getting but I occasionally got bit on a ned rig in the same areas. On my way home from the MLF Pro Circuit even on Champlain I stopped with my wife at Lake George for the first time ever. This lake is absolutely loaded with fish! In 4 hours of fishing we caught over 50 largemouth and smallmouth bass. She had the biggest one pushing 4lbs, a largemouth bass. The water temp was in the mid 70's and had these fish offshore in 20-40' of water eating alewives and perch. We keyed in on them using a dropshot with a Z-Man Trick Shotz as our bait of choice and a 1/2oz Angler Tungsten weight. Elaztech baits were key when catching these fish with us only going through one pack!
