So started out in less then a foot of water punching weed mats when the water temps were in the 60s. Then the water temps dropped to the lower 50s and the big bass moved to the 4 foot reeds on the north side of the lake. When the wind was blowing throwing spinner baits worked really well. Then it laid flat and slowly dragging a 3/4oz jig was getting the big bites. Caught some 18”-19” bass. Just remember the water temps dropped they moved out. So when the temps go back up they will move in shallow. Using have casting rods worked great.

First day of the Highschool fishing league season. The 3” Crush City swim baits on the berkley swimbait hooks were the answer today. Working the outside of the reeds in 5-10ft of water over the submerged weeds, slow rolling the swim baits worked the best.
