TechniqueLive Bait RigsSeasonFallStructureRiver ChannelsThe water temperature has remained very high for this time of year. I cycled through several classic fall spots and came away with bass and northern. I eventually fished the mouths of a few channels and connected with some walleyes. I was pitching medium-sized minnows and 1/8 oz jigs. This bite will only get better as the temperatures drop.

TechniqueGrass JigsSeasonFallStructureDocksWater was pretty dirty off the main lake. The bite was very tough, but I managed to get some bit fishing a jig very slow on the docks. Used a chartreuse trailer. should note I was in the back of the boat with a guy who doesn't typically leave much behind.

TechniqueSwim JigsSeasonSummerStructureDocksThis outing was for Sunday, September 7th. Only had about 3 hours out on the lake and was trying some new spots. Weather was sunny, cool to start about 45 and very little wind. Ended up with a high in the mid to upper 60's but the sun was very strong. Mostly tried up shallow, caught a couple dock fish, and a couple fish around some pads. Good little morning finished up with a couple beers and lunch at Back Channel Brewing!

TechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonSummerStructurePointsThere are literally bass in all of the bays. They’ve been on the weed edges still but slowly moving shallower, so we’re in a bit of a transition time. Caught most of my bass pitching into deep weedlines & points.

TechniqueStructure JigsSeasonFallStructureDocksWrapped up the Viking invitational on Minnetonka last weekend. Had a blast fishing the calm side docks in bays and also just flipping whatever I saw in front of me. Ended the tournament with 16.6 and had a awesome time!

TechniqueFinesse JigsSeasonFallStructureDocksGot the dub in the lakeville derb this weekend. Fishing docks was the key to our success! Fish were definitely up shallow and the fall bite is in full swing.

TechniqueStructure JigsSeasonFallStructureDocksOuting Date was 10/5/2024. Weather was mostly clear, high pressure and very windy out of the south. Fished from about 8:30 am to 1:30pm. High for the day was in the upper 70's with water temps at about 67 to 68. Put in at Maxwell Bay to avoid the big lake and mostly tried to stick to the dirtier water out west and concentrated on skipping docks most of the day. Caught about 4 decent keepers, nothing big. Overall good bite for not optimal fishing weather. Also had some fish try to hit the jig as it was just about to the boat, and had a couple hits on a frog between docks where there were good weeds, but none really ate the bait. Overall nice fall outing.
