I cycled through several classic fall spots and came away with bass and northern. I eventually fished the mouths of a few channels and connected with some walleyes. I was pitching medium-sized minnows and 1/8 oz jigs. This bite will only get better as the temperatures drop.

Weather was sunny, cool to start about 45 and very little wind. Ended up with a high in the mid to upper 60's but the sun was very strong. Mostly tried up shallow, caught a couple dock fish, and a couple fish around some pads. Good little morning finished up with a couple beers and lunch at Back Channel Brewing!

There are literally bass in all of the bays. They’ve been on the weed edges still but slowly moving shallower, so we’re in a bit of a transition time. Caught most of my bass pitching into deep weedlines & points.

Caught a few on the chicken on tonka. Slow rolling over the tops of the weeds. The new northland Minnesota mullet is pretty dang sweet!

Fish were still out in the summer patterns on the weed edges and thicker weeds, this was mostly the main pattern. I was throwing a drop shot and also mixing ina Texas rig. Caught a couple of four pounders and had a great day.
