The larger crappies have been moving shallow! We have had our best success in the 2-6ft weed clumps on the outside of spawning bays/cuts. Slow reeling a bobber to keep that bait in the strike zone has been very productive. We have found that greens and whites have been very productive colors. Have to remember that this time of year, not every fish is shallow, there is still a very large majority of big fish out staging, preparing to move in. Small tubes and creature baits, even ice fishing jigs and plastics have been very productive.

Casting bobbers around docks. Let the bobber sit then slow reel back, pause then slow reel again. Panfish are still pretty sluggish but I was able to get a fair amount in short order.
