TechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationLook for submerged vegetation in the 10'-15' range, mifoil patches were best. Look for the taller, thicker growing patches. Texas rig with a 3/8 oz weight was the best way to cover water. Once you get bit, spotlock and pitch a follow up bait. Follow up baits included 1/2oz cage feider jig, and a tokyo rig with a crawtube. Was not uncommon to get three or four out of the same area.

TechniqueHard Topwater (Walking)SeasonSummerStructureDocksCaught lots of smallmouth on walking baits on rocky shorlines with docks. They were tucked right up tight to the dock and would come out to eat the bait.

TechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationMy partner and I had a tournament out there recently and we did fairly well! It was our first time ever fishing the lake and we approached it by fishing the deep weed lines and deep weeds in general. I fished a ned rig and a walking bait. My partner fished, a Texas rigged worm and creature bait. We moved very slow and made a conscious effort to pick everything apart and to rip our baits out of the weeds to trigger bites.

TechniqueTrolling Mid Depth (10-19')SeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationFound fish in scattered weeds pulling bottom bouncers with slow death and bullet weights with crawler harnesses. Trolling speeds varied from 1.2-1.5 mpg. Gold and perch colored blades seemed to be the ticket. Found a variety of species such as large pike and even small mouth.

TechniqueSpinnerbaitsSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationGreat day today! Warm and WINDY. Caught a fair amount of fish under docks. But caught bigger fish drifting in the wind in 7-10 feet of water over grass. Spinnerbait was the key with the white trailer tails painted red with the garlic stick. Caught roughly 40 bass with a few nice smallmouth in the mix. Decent amount of above average size bass.
