I fished from 10:00am until 3:30pm stuck primarily to the east shoreline and targeted the typical weedline and dropoffs. Water was stained and a lot of the vegetation was brown and submerged. I tried crankbaits(caught 1), jigs, frog, dropshot and hover rig but did not have a lot of luck. Around 11:30 I decided to go shallow and skip the Sleeper Craw under trees. I caught a 15incher quickly and then had another large fish(4lb bass or drum) that came off in the weeds. After that, I wasn't able to catch anything else the rest of the day other than some panfish/crappies nibbling on my drop shot.

Working a weightless, nose hooked bellows gill like a soft jerkbait on the insides of weed edges produced bites. Better fish came from overhangs within that inside edge. One eyed Willy here was the cool catch of the day.

I couldn’t keep small males off the sleeper craw. Match the hatch! Fry guarders if I could tell right. Find a transition from weeds to sandy/rock bottom.
