Striped BassTechniqueSoft Body Swimbaits (Small/Medium)SeasonSummerStructureReefSlow rolling underspin with 6th Sense Divine Swimbait over submerged reefs and marking fish in about 25 foot of water. Was also finding boils chasing shad and managed to hook into a 15.5lb striper. They were boiling about 10-15 yards off a main lake reef chasing shad. Fish were marking in about 25 foot to surface. Lots of schools in about 25-20foot early in morning. Bite shut down at 9:15am.

I was marking tons of bait balls w/ my graph and could see fish posted up off drop offs. Casted into about 5-7foot of water and slow rolled underspin with Pro Shad Divine Swimbait and hit drop offs that reached 17-23 foot and suspended bass in about 15-20 foot off those drop offs.

Another scorching day. Bass were chasing shad at first light at entrance to coves off of the main lake. Whopper plopper in whitish colors worked. Later , Roboworms in assorted colors in 15-25 ft dropshotted caught some. Mustad alpha point finesse hook in size 1 with a 1/4 oz tungsten weight was the ticket. These new hooks are very sharp. Not one fish came unhooked.

Hot and hotter out. 10-25 ft on reefs, river channels. Free rigged with the new Mustad Alpha finesse hooks in size 1. Very sharp. Even stuck myself a few times. Roboworms in pumpkin punisher and mm II. Loving the Shimano mastiff as a main line and leader too. 12 lb main and 6-8lb leaders. Was off the lake by 10:30 for the heat.

Hit every reef on main lake (Bass Bay and Castle Creek) and Zoom trick worm caught 5 on drop shot. Biggest came off reef around 20-30 foot on Bellows Gill hooked up on Free Rig. Biggest fish were all on free rig. 1.5-2.5lb rest were smaller on drop shot. Water is getting warmer so I’d imagine the fish will only go deeper. Also caught a couple striper on 6th sense divine swimbait Pro Shad color. That color ALWAYS produces Striper.

20 to 35 foot deep, dead stick, very slow bite, one or two ticks then weight.

Main lake. Find high spots around 20-25ft. Dropshot roboworms in PP or green pumpkin. 1/4 or 3/8 ox weights. Bellows gill nose hooked caught a few as well. Nothing on top watt today. Get off lake by 10:30 because it is HOT!
